Executive Summary
Song Division Show is a music show co-founded by my fellow co-host, Anthony Nuno, that goes live every Monday at 6:00 PM PST on Golden Eagle Radio, Cal State LA's internet radio. The show revolves around audiences joining Anthony and me to discover new music, partake in friendly battles, and share moments of laughter and emotion through a themed weekly show. A theme is chosen each week, for which the co-hosts make a playlist. Whoever is more on theme with their selected songs wins the week's theme. The points and wins do not matter but are spoken about hypothetically throughout the show.
Our show's name, Song Division, was inspired by our shared love and appreciation for Joy Division. Though we have different music tastes, the Venn diagram meets with the wild card artists, including artists like Joy Division and others mentioned and discussed across various show episodes.
Song Division was recorded with the help of our engineer, Avery Ryan, and edited by me using Adobe Audition. I also ran and controlled the show's social media, RSS feeds, Linktree, and overall aesthetic. The show's RSS feed is published on Spotify alongside the RSS website, allowing our show to reach audiences beyond Golden Eagle Radio who could not catch the show live on air.
