Stephanie (Star) Majinian

Scholar • Writer • Thinker

As a communication professional and scholar, much of my work revolves around perfecting the process of mass media reaching their publics by prioritizing ethics, truth, and genuine connection.

Since I was a teenager, one of my passions has been bringing people together, especially in the digital age and our social media-dominated world. The digital age challenges us to build strong connections and community through a screen with strangers and loved ones alike.

I started running music fanpages for musicians I loved to listen to at the age of thirteen, all of which accumulated thousands of followers in under a year for the pages I ran. This then blossomed into a passion and drive for media-based connections and work as I began to gain knowledge of content creation, content strategy, graphic design, audience data, account insights, account reach, and audience demand (talk about happy accidents!). This utilization of digital platforms has led me to seek larger projects and a role in the ever-evolving world of social media, public relations, marketing, advertising, and communication. You can see some of what I've done here!

Through my experience as a Social Content and Community Manager, President of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), a Music and Pop Culture Fanatic, and more, I have understood the crucial role of mass media in the lives of the publics they reach. Polishing the diction and media that emulates good intent, content, and reception from publics is what pushes me to operate under honesty, morals, and solution-based thinking.

When I'm not flipping on my "communication professional" switch, I am probably at a live music show, capturing nature, or at Universal Studios Hollywood. See more here!
